Welcome to the official website of the Bolivian American Medical Society. I am proud to serve as president of this great organization. BAMS, as we are often called, was founded 40 years ago in Chicago, IL. In the beginning, the primary goal of BAMS was to provide and/or assist in humanitarian efforts in Bolivia. I am happy to report that our mission has not changed and we remain committed as ever to our "llajta."
Kindly recall that on September 10, 2016 at the Fall Gala, I had announced a fund raising campaign for the Bolivia Cancer Research and Development Partnership. This project is headed by Dr. Steven Schuetz, a resident physician at Northwestern University. Please click here to learn more about this Partnership. We remain commited to supporting this project and our goal is to raise $10,000 for this Partnership. Together, we can achieve this objective and improve cancer care and women's health in Bolivia.
Please take a moment to persue our site and donate for this Partnership
